Description

Eberbach E3700 - Heavy Duty Cutting Mill Eberbach designs and manufactures a variety of types of mills and granulators. Below is a sample of a cutting mill that we have designed and manufactured for Thomas Scientific. The E3700 mill (this is a direct replacement to the Thomas Wiley Mill Model 4) is used in many different industry applications such as biofuels, animal feed, pharmaceuticals, brewing and many others industries. The powerful motor driving the heavy duty rotating cutter head paired with hardened blades allow this mill to cut through many of your toughest samples and with certified sieve sizes down to 0.5 mm. Samples introduced through the hopper are swept around by the rotor until they are cut to sufficient fineness to pass through sieve. The hard, tool steel cutting edges on the blades allow milling of a wider range of materials, including plastics, animal feed, bones, cables, cardboard, electronic scrap, feed pellets, foils, food, leather, material mixtures, non-ferrous metals, paper, pharmaceutical products, refuse derived fuels, rubber, waste, wood and so much more. The blades are also available in 316 Stainless Steel, for use when milling potencially corrosive samples, and Tungsten Carbide, for milling harder samples. The E3700 is designed with a machine tool type of cartridge spindle and a small powerful motor which allows for an operational speed of 920 rpm with high torque. The chamber door comes includes a door safety switch. The machine also comes standard with mounting locations for bolting directly to a benchtop or an optional table top stand or floor stand can be purchased.
