Description

SemiCut is a disposable device designed for soft tissue biopsies such as liver, thyroid, kidney, breast, lung, and prostate. The biopsy specimen can be taken with two different lengths: 10mm or 20 mm. After loading the cannula, SemiCut can be used with one hand leaving the other hand free to handle other devices such as an ultrasound guide. The stylet is equipped with a sample notch of 20 mm, trocar stylet, and "Menghini" sharpened tip to easily penetrate fibrous tissues. The echogenic markers on the cannula enhance visibility under ultrasound and avoid spread of cells during the biopsy procedure. Centimeter markings on the cannula surface allow for easy depth determination. SemiCut is the lightest semi-automatic device on the market - this allows the user to leave the device safely inserted into the patient without support. SemiCut is a disposable device designed for soft tissue biopsies such as liver, thyroid, kidney, breast, lung, and prostate.
