Hospital pneumatic tube system HPTS

It is a system which handles in an automatic way analysis samples, blood bags and drugs. The system is composed of sending and receiving stations, connected by a network of tubes. The material is inserted into carriers, which thanks to an airflow generated by one or more blowers travel inside the tubes in full autonomy. The network connects different hospital areas and enables the transport of goods which are then collected by personnel at receiving stations. Handling of biological material is carried out in total safety: samples and blood bags are ensured a constant temperature whilst moving at a controlled speed safeguarding the integrity of blood components from haemolysis. Thanks to RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) the system uniquely detects the carriers in motion ensuring traceability of all dispatches. A specially designed identification system ensures maximum control each time carriers are sent and received, allowing access to the system only to authorized personnel.
