Description

The Pudendal Channel Cushion may help people who suffer from discomfort or pain when sitting. This could be due to: Pudendal Neuralgia (PN) Pudendal Nerve Entrapment (PNE) Surgical mesh complications Vulvodynia Perineal pain Hemorrhoids Testicular pain Prostate Damaged coccyx After having a baby Symptoms may be: Numbness Burning Aching Loss of genital sensation Pain associated with urinating A channel cut-out runs along the middle of the cushion. This helps relieve pressure when sitting. The buttocks sit on the firm sides of the foam. The sides of the foam have convolutions on the top to help soften the cushion. This also helps blood flow under the buttocks. The middle foam is softer to help pain control. Make the channel narrower or wider by inserting or removing the cover and placing the two side pieces in sides of the channel. Replace the cover and the side pieces will be kept in place. If you need to you can glue the side pieces in place if you find they don’t stay in place enough. If the inside channel is not wide enough for you, there is an easy modification you can make. Cut off the first or second sections on both sides of the inside of the channel with scissors. It is also possible to cut the small ridges in the middle of the cushion if they cause irritation. Sewn to the underside of the cover is special Miracle Grip rubber material to help stop the cushion sliding. One corner of the Pudendal Channel Cushion has a Carry Loop. Another general purpose cushions to consider is the Pressure Relief Cushion with Airmesh Cover.
