Description
This medical imaging X-ray phantom allows for measurement of the Dose Index (DI) of the CT imaging system. The phantom consists of 2 large PMMA cylinders representing the head and body. The head is able to nest inside the body. An additional phantom with a Paediatric head which nests into the adult head is also available.
It allows for evaluation of:
Dose Index (DI)
CTDI100 (centre)
CTDI100 (peripheral)
CTDIfree air
CTDIvol (weighted CTDIw)
CTDIw (weighted CTDI100)
Specification:
The head has a 160mm diameter
The body has a 320mm diameter
Each cylinder is 145mm long
Holes in each cylinder for 8, 10, 13mm diameter radiation detectors
PMMA plugs are also provided for plugging the holes when not in use
