Overview
The P93 PRO male catheterization trainer enables realistic demonstration, practice and assessment of male bladder catheterization via the urethra (transurethral) or through the abdominal wall (suprapubic). A genital insert connects with magnetic fasteners to an anatomically accurate lower-torso replica. The soft, elastic material provides a mobile foreskin and an extendable penis to allow full procedure rehearsal, including site preparation and disinfection. Catheter insertion and withdrawal offer lifelike resistance and depth feedback.

Direct educational effect
When a catheter is correctly positioned, fluid is released—as with a real patient. Catheter placement can be observed through the transparent bladder. The PRO abdominal wall can be removed for improved visualization during urethral catheterization.

Variable difficulty levels
The male insert includes three adjustable urethral constriction settings. At the tightest setting urethral catheterization is not possible, indicating the need for a suprapubic catheter. The PRO version comes with a preinstalled suprapubic catheter for training in exchange and maintenance procedures.

Suprapubic catheter exchange and care
If urethral catheterization is not feasible, a suprapubic catheter must be used. In clinical practice it is placed through the abdominal wall into the filled bladder and secured to the abdominal wall. The PRO trainer allows practice of suprapubic catheter replacement, dressing changes, catheter cleaning and wound disinfection.

Usage recommendations
For catheterization use catheters with one or two opposing drainage eyes. Silicone or PVC catheters are suitable.

Tip
