The manikin was developed specifically for scenario-based simulation to improve competency in patient care and advanced nursing skills. Nikki the Nursing Manikin simulates an adult, life-size patient and comes with the NursingScope Auscultation Training Stethoscope powered by Cardionics. NursingScope is an electronic simulation-training stethoscope created for auscultation training purposes or objective structured clinical examinations (O.S.C.E.). It functions wirelessly with the included controller tablet and gives the instructor access to the large high quality sound library from Cardionics. The instructor can select and change any of the physiological and pathological sounds that the trainees will hear through the NursingScope once they place the stethoscope on one of the auscultation sites of the manikin.
