It is compliant with ISO 11138-1:2017 and ISO 11138-3:2017 and provides a final fluorescent result at 3 hours. The ISO 11138-1:2017 and ISO 11138-3:2017 compliant 3M™ Attest™ Rapid Steam Biological Indicator, 1292-S, is easy to use, activate and interpret. It’s a reliable monitoring device for 250°F/121°C gravity displacement and 270°F/132°C vacuum-assisted steam sterilization cycles that can be used for industrial (Life Science) sterilization applications when verified by the end user. The self-contained biological indicator (BI) consists of a Geobacillus stearothermophilus spore strip and sealed glass ampoule with growth media and dual indicator system. The spore strip and media ampoule are contained in a plastic vial topped with a brown color-coded cap. The label includes a chemical process indicator. The BI is packaged in a foil pouch designed to protect the product from humidity excursions.
