The HS1501 is ideal for demonstrations in the classroom and is used to observe emission and absorption spectra. It is suitable for individual and comparative observations as well as spectral analyses and also for checking the line spectra of gas discharge lamps. In gemmology, it is well suited for the identification of rubies, spinels, garnet, alexandrite or red tourmaline. It has a graduated prism according to Amici and no wavelength scale.
