Deep Ocean DNA Polymerase is a high-fidelity thermophilic DNA polymerase. The fidelity of Deep Ocean DNA Polymerase is derived in part from an integral 3'→ 5' proofreading exonuclease activity. It has 5X higher fidelity than Taq. Deep Ocean is very stable at temperatures of 95 to 100°C. Deep Ocean offers moderate fidelity and robust performance and shows extremely high thermostability: half-life of 23 hours at 95°C. It is ideal for amplification of difficult templates such as GC-rich or looped sequence.
