Jasper Neurovascular Embolization Detachable Coil Product introduction Designed and manufactured by Achieva Medical, Jasper Neurovascular Embolization Coil is patented in China (2006100292804), intended for embolization of intracranial aneurysms and DAVF. Jasper Coil was approved by CFDA for market release in June, 2009, and certified with CE Marking in July, 2009. Unique 3D design of Jasper coil offers excellent conformability which leads to adherent scaffolding. Rich coil sizes better meet the different needs of various aneurysm cases. Smaller distal pushwire profile (distal part of the pushwire is 20% smaller that of the competitors) has a better pushability inside the microcatheter, and reduces the wire impact to the aneurysm wall. Patented polymeric joining technology ensures stable detachment within 30 seconds at 1mA. Special winding technology increases the capability for stretch resistance and the long term coil compaction resistance. A Multi-center clinical trial was carried out at Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, affiliated to Capital Medical University and Shanghai Changhai Hospital, affiliated to the Second Military Medical University, to validate the non-inferiority of Jasper Neurovascular Embolization Coil. It was a prospective, multicenter, parallel, comparative clinical trial, and the regimen was approved by the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA).
