Description

Product DetailsPP Membrane Filter is a water filtration material with excellent chemical stability and physical properties. It is widely used in water filtration and ocean filtration and other environments to remove solid particles, microorganisms and harmful substances in the water to ensure water quality safety and environmental protection.Excellent Filtration Performance: Dense microporous structure effectively removes solid particles and microorganisms, improving overall filtration efficiency.Outstanding Chemical Resistance: PP material resists most chemicals in water, ensuring long-term stability and reliability.High Durability: Excellent abrasion and tear resistance allow continuous use in harsh environments, reducing replacement and maintenance costs.Eco-Friendly & Recyclable: PP is a recyclable material, supporting ESG goals and sustainable procurement.Sample Note: Trial rolls are available for testing; third-party inspection reports can be provided upon request.ApplicationsWater Treatment Plants: Used as filter media to remove suspended solids and microorganisms, improving water purification quality and equipment lifespan.Marine Protection: Suitable for ecological conservation and pollution control projects (e.g., microplastic interception).Household Water Filter Media: With strong chemical resistance and fine micropores, effectively intercepts contaminants and bacteria to ensure safe drinking water.Manufacturing ProcessProduced by the Melt-blown process, where PP is melted and extruded through specialized nozzles to form a stable microporous structure.SpecificationsItemSpecificationMaterialPolypropylene (PP)Weight20 gsm ~ 100 gsmWidth20 cm ~ 160 cmThickness0.06 mm ~ 0.2 mmLength500 m ~ 1500 mModelAF-1400FAQsHow is a PP water filtration membrane different from regular nonwoven fabric? PP melt-blown membrane for liquid filtration is engineered to efficiently capture fine particles and bacteria in flowing liquids, while general nonwovens are often used as support or pre-filter layers. AF-1400 is a membrane-grade structure with higher surface uniformity and chemical stability. Is this material suitable for drinking water or food-contact applications? Yes. We use food-contact-grade PP resin. However, the final system must still pass NSF or local drinking-water regulatory testing before use. What is the typical pore size of AF-1400? Depending on basis weight and process, the typical pore size is 2–20 µm.Can it be used in backwashable or multi-use systems? PP provides good mechanical strength and chemical stability and can support low-pressure backwashing or surface cleaning. For repeated cycles, we recommend multi-layer support structures to prevent tearing. What chemicals and operating conditions can it tolerate? Polypropylene is resistant to acids, bases, salts, and many organic solvents (e.g., ethanol, acetone). We recommend operating below 90 °C to maintain pore stability and service life. Can you make different thicknesses or multi-layer structures? Yes. Thickness can be customized (0.06–0.20 mm) or laminated into two/three layers for gradient filtration or enhanced mechanical support. Can the membrane be combined with other materials (e.g., PET, activated-carbon fabric)? Yes. We can use thermal lamination or adhesive dotting to create multifunctional stacks (e.g., PP + PET support mesh, or PP + activated-carbon layer). Custom lamination and sampling are available. How about flow rate and pressure drop performance? Actual performance varies with basis weight, pore size, and application conditions (e.g., water quality, pressure). We can provide sample rolls for laboratory testing and help evaluate the most suitable flux and differential-pressure parameters. Can you provide third-party tests or SGS reports? Yes. Upon request, we can arrange physical and chemical testing, including pore-size distribution, tensile strength, and RoHS/REACH compliance. What are the minimum order quantity (MOQ) and lead time? Standard MOQ is 2,000 ~ 10000 m². Typical lead time is 3–5 weeks; special specifications or lamination processes will be confirmed after design review.Technical Specifications / FeaturesMaterial: Polypropylene (PP)Weight: 20 gsm ~ 100 gsmWidth: 20 cm ~ 160 cmThickness: 0.06 mm ~ 0.2 mmLength: 500 m ~ 1500 mModel: AF-1400Pore size: 2–20 µmOperating temperature: < 90 °CResistant to acids, bases, salts, many organic solventsCustomizable thickness and multi-layer optionsFood-contact-grade PP resin
