Austin Moore endoprosthesis is designed for restoration of shape and function of the natural joint, rehabilitation of patients with traumas and diseases of musculoskeletal system (hip joint) by the means of endoprosthetics. It is preferable for patients of elderly age with expressed bone loss (marked osteoporosis). Austin Moore endoprosthesis is recommended in the same cases, as the cemented endoprosthesis.
Construction
Austin Moore Endoprosthesis is an all-metal construction, consisting of stem and polished head (Diameters 38÷56 mm).
Design of the endoprosthesis allows to reach optimal load distribution in the contact zone of stem and cement mantle due to roughness on the stem surface, as well as improved fixation of endoprosthesis with help of the holes.
ALTIMED JSC produces 19 dimension types of Austin Moore endoprosthesis.
Materials
Austin Moore Endoprosthesis is made of Cobalt-Chrome-Molybdenum alloy CoCrMo (ISO 5832/4). This alloy combines good mechanical parameters with high tribological features. Owing to its biocompatibility this alloy is recognized by all international standards as a material for manufacturing implants. To learn more about the material, please visit Materials used .
