Cancellous screws are used for fixation of press-fit cups and protrusion rings.
The body of a cancellous screw is thin. It has a wide and deep thread all over its length. The screw threads cut their path in the bone when the screw is inserted, i.e. cancellous screws are self-tapping.
Titanium dioxide coating
Cancellous screw HB 6.5 is manufactured from pure Titanium (corresponding to ISO 5832/2), coated with TiO2 (Titanium dioxide), developed and patented by our company. Additionally, the screw is coated with Titanium dioxide (TiO2), which stimulates osteointegration and prevents migration of metal ions and microsubstances into the body.
