Working principle The plasma surgical device uses an RF field of approximately 100 kHz to excite the conductive saline irrigant around the electrode, forming a plasma layer about 100 μm thick. The plasma contains numerous charged particles that deliver enough energy to break molecular bonds in the target tissue, causing rapid decomposition at relatively low temperatures into low‑molecular‑weight molecules and atoms, thereby enabling cutting and coagulation.
