The interference screws are manufactured using high quality materials. The complete family of these screws includes biocomposite interference screws (made of 30% biphasic calcium phosphate and 70% PLDLA), PEEK interference screws (made of PEEK-OPTIMA™ material) and metal interference screws (made of titanium, especially for soft tissues or tibial femoral and tibial fixation). Poles and Washers Featuring an extremely low profile head to reduce soft tissue irritation, the 4.5 mm diameter bicortical post is placed using a 2.5 mm drill to drill the cortical bone. The depth device provides accurate sizing information, allowing for proper bicortical post placement. The optional low profile spike washer can be used with the bicortical post to provide direct fixation of soft tissue tendons to bone. Posts and washers are manufactured using titanium ASTM F-136 alloy. Smooth, concave shaped washer securely holds tied sutures and large suture knots in a non-traumatic manner beneath the low profile washer to minimize potential soft tissue irritation. Spiked washer facilitates direct anchoring of soft tissue or ligaments to bone. The ACL Replacement Fixation System includes the fixation sutures for an ACL graft or implants and instruments required during ACL reconstruction or primary repair. The kit includes a 4.75 mm implant, a spade-tipped drill, and a disposable tap.
