A. DEVICE DESCRIPTION The TightRope® devices are comprised of various configurations of one or two metal buttons, a metal or bioabsorbable anchor, and suture. Single buttons (Clavicle and Coracoid) and washers may be provided in individual packages without sutures. These devices may be preloaded onto an inserter, or may be packaged with various ancillary instruments to aid in insertion. The ACL/PCL/BTB/RT/ABS TightRope products are comprised of suture with or without a button, wedge or inserter. TightRope ABS Implants are used with TightRope ABS Buttons (Standard, Round and Oblong buttons) and TightRope Button Extender. The ancillary Buttress Plates are metal plates with two or four holes, depending on design, for TightRope or screw fixation. B. INDICATIONS The TightRope devices are intended as adjuncts in fracture repair involving metaphyseal and periarticular small bone fragments where screws are not indicated, and as adjuncts in external and intramedullary fixation systems involving plates and rods, with fracture braces and casting. Specifically, they are intended to provide fixation during the healing process following: • Mini TightRope, Mini TightRope FT and CMC Mini TightRope: Hallux Valgus reconstruction (correction) by providing for the reduction of 1st metatarsal-2nd metatarsal intermetatarsal angle. • Mini TightRope, Mini TightRope FT and CMC Mini TightRope: Tarsometatarsal (TMT) injury, such as fixation of foot soft tissue separations due to a Lisfranc injury (Midfoot Reconstruction). • Mini TightRope, Mini TightRope FT and CMC Mini TightRope: Syndesmotic trauma, such as fixation of dorsal distal radioulnar ligament (DRUL) disruptions.
