The DrySyn Vortex Temperature Controlled System is ideal for chemists screening viscous materials, or those that can be damaged by the grinding effect of stirrer bars, at precise temperatures ranging from ambient to 150 °C. Use with DrySyn SnowStorm MULTI inserts also allows use down to a minimum temperature of -30 °C.
A mechanical gearbox enables more powerful stirring to be achieved using the reduction drive. This is ideal for mixing highly viscous solutions or using lower power overhead stirrers. The DrySyn Vortex Temperature Controlled System enables up to three round bottom flasks of up to 500 mL size to be stirred simultaneously with one overhead stirrer.
NEW: Additional options available with kits to suit 250 mL round bottom flasks with B24 / B29 fittings.
The use of a circulator allows active cooling or heating to maintain constant solution temperatures and facilitates controlled ramping to reduce overshoot. This is key in the polymer industry, where solution temperature is important for solution handling and polymerisation, or those handling exothermic/endothermic reactions.
