Introduction to Veterinary Mainstream Capnograph
The veterinary mainstream capnograph is a gas monitoring device specially designed for clinical anesthesia, surgery, and critical care in animals. It measures and displays end-tidal carbon dioxide (EtCO₂) concentration and respiratory rate (RR) in real-time. Utilizing mainstream technology, the device measures gas concentrations directly within the breathing circuit, offering rapid response time and high measurement accuracy. It is suitable for respiratory monitoring in small animals such as dogs and cats, as well as certain medium- to large-sized animals.
Equipped with a high-performance infrared sensor module, the device continuously captures stable CO₂ waveforms and values without interfering with the animal's natural breathing pattern. This enables veterinarians to evaluate ventilation status, anesthesia depth, and gas exchange efficiency. The system supports both disposable and reusable airway adapters, allowing flexible use across various animal species and sizes.
