Description
The PAM-525 series are portable hand-held meters designed primarily for alpha/beta surface contamination monitoring. The large detectors enable fast inspection of extended surfaces. Two standard configurations are offered:

• PAM-525B – single-channel instrument with optimized sensitivity to beta contamination
• PAM-525C – dual-channel instrument distinguishing alpha and beta contamination with slightly lower beta sensitivity than PAM-525B

The gamma dose equivalent rate measurement is independent from surface contamination measurement and provides an additional alarm to operators in case of elevated ambient radiation.
