Oxicel Knit is ideal for heavy bleedings, to drape, wrap or suture. High density material provides more strength. It does not stick to gloves or instruments. Oxicel Knit Absorbable Hemostat (Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose) is used adjunctively in surgical procedures to assist in the control of capillary, venous and small arterial hemorrage when ligation or other conventional methods of control are impractical or ineffective. Safe, plant-based and fully absorbable within 7-14 days. Oxicel Knit can be cut to desired sizes to use in endoscopic surgeries. 3 times denser vs. Oxicel Standard. Oxicel Knit Absorbable Hemostat exhibits bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties with the effect on growth and multiplication of gram (+) and gram (-) organisms including aerobic, anaerobic bacteria (MRSA, VRE, PRSP and MRSE) show resistant to antibiotics. Oxicel Knit meets all the requirements established by the USP for Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose.
