Scratchproof ink resistant to water and alcohol. Expected aim Product for the preparation of cyto-histological samples for optical microscopy. Application Ready-to-use fixative for fluid cytologic specimens, particularly for mucous excretions. Principle The fixative causes lysis of red blood cells and makes the mucoproteins uncoagulated soluble, predisposing the sample for subsequent cytocentrifugation or filtration. In particular the presence of polyethylene glycol infiltrates and protects cells favoring the adhesion to the slide. Fixation technique Add 50 - 100 ml of the fixative to the sample. Wait at least 30 minutes before processing. Warning and precaution The product is intended for professional laboratory use for healthcare professionals.
