Description

The BIA-ACC is a medical device developed by BioTekna for the analysis and monitoring of body composition INFORMATION The BIA-ACC device simplifies the evaluation, analysis and monitoring of body composition in its quantitative, qualitative and functional aspects. Using a multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance technology, it maximises the efficiency of the measurements even when applied to patients suffering from a chronic inflammatory disorder or stress-related disorder. Suitable for use in any clinical context, it is a non-invasive diagnostic tool able to detect in a precise, fast and repeatable way, a large set of parameters related to the body structure of the patient, pointing out the evolution during the recovery process of the psychophysical performance. APPLICATIONS The pathophysiological processes capable of determining changes in body composition are innumerable and analysing them is a matter of particular interest in a very wide range of contexts, not just limited to clinical and sports environments. Among the most established and widely used application of the BIA-ACC device, we may cite: Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Physical mobility rehabilitation Sport performance improvement Diagnosis and monitoring of metabolic, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular disorders Diagnostics and monitoring of chronic inflammatory disorders and autoimmune diseases Longevity and physical and mental performance Differential diagnosis of vague and non-specific MUS (Medically Unexplained Symptoms)
