The Bed-Exit Detection enables a patient’s bed-exit status to be connected directly to the BitCare Nurse Call System. Bed-exit monitoring can be provided through a BedSense Pad connected via LAN or through a smart bed’s built-in bed-exit function using a mono jack connection. When a patient attempts to leave the bed, the system generates a dedicated bed-exit alert that is clearly differentiated from standard nurse call alerts. This allows caregivers to identify potential fall risks more quickly, prioritise their response, and provide timely, proactive assistance to support patient safety.
