Solution for core body temperature monitoring The core body temperature variable is a key indicator of the subject’s physiological status. The continuous nature of the measurement is quite difficult to obtain and only a few constraining devices (rectal, esophageal probes, etc.) allow continuous core body temperature monitoring. The eCelsius Performance solution makes possible to collect continuous, reliable and accurate core body temperature data while preserving subjects’ comfort and mobility. It is composed of 3 elements: - An electronic capsule, eCelsius Performance, ingestible and communicating. Once activated, it communicates in real time, and continuously, the core body temperature data. The single-use eCelsius Performance capsule is removed by natural way; it allows thus to monitor the core temperature over a period corresponding to the transit time (24-48 hours on average). - An activation box allowing to wake up the eCelsius Performance capsule and ensures the association with the ePerf Connect device. - The connected device ePerf Connect, receives, records and transmits the data collected by the capsule. Designed as a wristwatch, the ePerf Connect device is waterproof (5ATM) and facilitates the ambulatory monitoring of the subject. Once the core body temperature data received, the device is able to send them through Bluetooth (BLE) to the dedicated application ePerf Mobile. One ePerf Connect device may manage up to three capsules simultaneously for a long-period monitoring. - The dedicated ePerf Mobile application allows to configure the system operating mode and archive the core body temperature data for scientific exploitation.
