Description
The ARC Generation from BOWA MEDICAL is a compact electrosurgical generator designed for general surgical use. The device is flexibly configurable by the number and type of sockets and is available in several configurations to fit specific OR workflows.

Highlights of the ARC Generation
  • Dissection modes: Includes the DISSECT coagulation mode for precise fine-tuning and low-energy, low-bleeding tissue separation
  • WIZARD guidance: Dialog-driven assistant for optimal ARC configuration
  • ARC CONTROL and CCS: New processor technology with ARC CONTROL regulation and CUTControlSystem (CCS) for fast control response
  • Five ZAP modes: Five preset subprograms for sterile-field workflows; enables rapid autonomous adjustment of power, modes and footswitch behavior by the surgeon

COMFORT system
The COMFORT system enables automatic instrument recognition and usage-cycle monitoring. Using RFID technology, the ARC communicates with BOWA COMFORT instruments; when an instrument is connected, device-specific settings are preselected and the remaining uses are documented and displayed.

ARC and ERGOact
In combination with ERGOact (hand-activated bipolar laparoscopic instrument), the system enables operation without a footswitch in this instrument class, increasing safety, control and user comfort during laparoscopic procedures.
