Intended Use
Biorespira is a high flux generator for non-invasive lung ventilation of patients in respiratory insufficiency, for use in sub-intensive care, post-surgery, first aid, assisted health care residences and home care. The device is intended for adult patients who breathe independently.
Technology
Biorespira’s technology is based on the use of a turbine
capable of generating high flows starting from the ambient
air, thus not requiring the compressed air supplied by the
hospital system. This flow is mixed with medical oxygen,
supplied via a oxygen cylinder or medical gas plant.
Turbine operation optimizes oxygen consumption and
allows the patient to deliver controlled flow and a precise
concentration of oxygen, maintaining a constant positive
pressure.
Biorespira allows direct measurement of PEEP pressure
and is equipped with an integrated oximeter for a
continuous reading of the actual air pressure delivered to
the patient and oxygen saturation.
Biorespira allows a humidifier to be mounted on the
inspiratory line.
The use of Biorespira with helmets and non-vented mask
with antibacterial/antiviral filter creates an isolated system
that prevents the risk of infection caused by the aerosol
effect of the gas exhaled by the patient.
