The CT Performance Phantom offers a single system that measures nine performance parameters as it enables the routine standardization of alignment, beam width, spatial uniformity, linearity contrast, spatial resolution, linespread, noise, size independence and absorbed dose. It meets the AAPM Report #1 guidelines for performance and quality assurance of CT scanners. It consists of an 8-1/2-inch diameter acrylic tank that contains a beam-width insert, a spatial resolution and linespread block, a high-contrast insert and TLD holders. It has a 1/4-inch Teflon band positioned at the tank's base that simulates human bone.
