DESCRIPTION CardioMed’s unique Endotracheal Ventilation Catheter (ETVC) provides prolonged intraoperative jet ventilation, maintenance of tracheal access following extubation, and allows for a clear pathway for reintubation. By passing the ETVC through an existing endotracheal tube and leaving it in situ, clinicians are able to maintain access to the airway at all times. The distal end of the ETVC has been designed to handle the high pressures of jet ventilation while preventing trauma to the patient. This device has been designed to function with the vast majority of endotracheal tubes, and will clearly pass through endtracheal tubes with an internal diameter of as low as six millimeters.
