Optimal Maxx is a mattress that handles high user weights and is used in all types of healthcare environments. Optimal Maxx is used as an aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers up to and including category 1⁽¹⁾. The mattress is equipped with our patented⁽⁴⁾ sit function DuoCore®, designed to give support when sitting and also to provide good comfort when lying. Optimal Maxx is delivered with the Marin/Evac cover. It is a divisible cover with a two-part zip fastener and equipped with a functional handle for evacuation. Care of Sweden’s mattresses are supplied with a four way stretch hygienic outer cover which conforms to relevant standards for hygiene, quality and safety⁽²⁾⁽⁵⁾. All covers are manufactured from modern, recyclable materials and are vapour permeable⁽³⁾, which contributes to reduce the risk of skin maceration.
