If a person makes too few spontaneous movements, there is an increased risk of pressure ulcers. Regular changes of position reduce the risk. Position as required in both reclining and seated position. Curera® Positioning is a range of stable pillows, rolls, and wedges that meet most needs for support and relief. They are also a great help when changing dressings and for patient care. Our hygiene covers and cotton covers are also available as accessories to the pillows and rolls. The hygiene cover does not allow liquid or air to penetrate, but it is vapour permeable (vapour is wicked away). Make sure that the user is positioned so that airways are unobstructed. The S-shaped positioning pillow is used to create a 30° position for pressure relief. Place the upper part of the pillow behind the user’s back and the lower part between the knees and lower legs. Can also be used for the lateral position by placing the top part of the pillow in front of and under the upper arm, the middle part of the pillow under the bent thigh, and the lower part under the lower leg and foot.
