Esophageal dilator Provox Dilator

Overview
The Provox Dilator is used to upsize the diameter of the tracheoesophageal (TE) puncture or to temporarily block a TE puncture, irrespective of the type and diameter of voice prosthesis used. The device enables stepwise increase of the puncture size from 15 Fr to 24 Fr in one device (steps: 18 Fr, 20 Fr, 22 Fr, 24 Fr). Non-sterile, reusable and sterilizable. Two smaller dilator variants are also available for dilating 17 Fr or 20 Fr punctures.

Notes
Device can be used irrespective of the type and diameter of the voice prosthesis in place. The multi-step dilator provides incremental upsizing in defined French (Fr) steps. Manufacturer indicates availability of smaller dedicated dilators for specific puncture sizes (17 Fr and 20 Fr).
