Intensive care patient temperature management system P3

Overview
The P3/P6 is a neonatal temperature control system designed for therapeutic hypothermia in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). It supports rapid induction, precise maintenance and controlled rewarming according to clinical protocols to reduce mortality and limit brain injury.

Induction

• Rapid cooling via water/cooling blankets to reach a target core temperature of 33 °C–34 °C within approximately 2 hours.
• Supports reproducible induction protocols suitable for neonatal intensive care units.

Cooling Technology
The P6 model employs Semiconductor Cooling Technology to achieve target temperatures rapidly and consistently. Cooling is delivered through water-based blankets specifically designed for neonatal application.

Control System
i-Servo™ intelligent closed-loop temperature control: automatically adjusts water temperature based on monitored patient core temperature to maintain the prescribed target and minimise temperature deviations.

Monitoring & Safety

• Simultaneous monitoring of patient core temperature, skin temperature and water temperature for continuous safety surveillance.
• Modular monitoring allows 24-hour vigilance and integration with bedside monitoring platforms.

Compatibility & Integration

• Plug & play C31 compatibility with COMEN products including P6, B8 infant incubator, BQ80 radiant warmer and modular patient monitors (C series) to facilitate clinical integration.

Patient Interface & Accessories

• Flat-type water blanket for targeted regional cooling.
• Full-body wrapping blanket options for uniform temperature control.

Indicated for therapeutic hypothermia in neonatal HIE. Supports clinical protocols for induction to 33 °C–34 °C, maintenance up to 72 hours and controlled rewarming to reduce apoptotic processes and cerebral oxygen demand.
