Dual Purpose Medium for collection, transport and preservation of bacteria and viruses MSwab® is a true all-round pre-analytical device designed for optimized compatibility with molecular platforms, allowing backup culturing of bacteria and viruses. Versatility One tube, multiple possibilities MSwab® medium provides homogeneous aliquots of the sample suspension to run multiple tests from the same tube. In the laboratory, specimens collected in MSwab® can be analyzed using standard clinical procedures for bacterial culture of aerobic and facultative anaerobic gram-positive microorganisms, Viral culture of HSV 1 HSV 2 viruses, and viral and bacterial nucleic acid detection. Molecular biology made fast MSwab® proprietary formulation makes the processing of samples for NAAT assays easy and rapid. FLOQSwabs® Ensure a quick, capillarity-driven sample uptake and a superior elution of the biological specimen, expanding downstream diagnostic testing capabilities. Direct nucleic acids extraction MSwab® enables the preparation of a crude lysate in less than 5 minutes and a rapid direct nucleic acid heat extraction, eliminating the need for a purification step. Directly in your assay After extraction, MSwab® collected samples can be aliquoted directly into your Master Mix, making direct molecular assays even faster. DNA &RNA stabilization MSwab® preserves specimens for bacterial or viral investigations up to 48h when stored at room or refrigerated temperature.
