Description

Product description Calera® is CORE’s premium core body temperature monitoring solution for research use cases. The innovative sensor technology is built into a compact waterproof device that can be comfortably worn during controlled study settings, sports activities, at work, or all day long. CORE Calera® comes with functionalities and services specifically designed for research purposes, including access to high-resolution data and multiple benefits often appreciated by researchers.
Advantages
  • Raw Data Access
    • More data streams (e.g. core temp, skin temp, accelerometer, external heart rate, heat flux*).
    • Highest resolution: 1 measurement per second.
    • For highest precision during sports activity, pairing with a heart rate monitor is highly recommended to aid conversion of measured heat flux into core body temperature. During everyday activity core temperature data is accurate with or without a heart rate monitor.
  • Remote Support
    • Support for study setup.
    • Data interpretation support.
  • Highest Accuracy
    • Each Calera® device undergoes individual calibration for heat flux and skin measurements to ensure optimal accuracy across devices.
  • Store Data on Calera
    • Up to 6.5 days of onboard storage.
    • No loss of data due to poor connection.
  • Research tool
    • Control multiple devices simultaneously from PC/Mac.
    • Manage and download data in easily accessible .csv format.
*Heat flux is available only on agreement.

Warranty Information CORE Calera® has a warranty of one year under Swiss law.
The Technology Calera® is a wearable device that enables accurate, non-invasive, continuous core body temperature monitoring. The technology combines heat-flux and skin temperature sensors with machine learning algorithms trained on a large dataset to calculate core body temperature. Heat-flux sensors (Seebeck-type) measure thermal energy transfer; when heat passes through the sensor it generates a voltage proportional to heat flux, enabling direct or combined estimation methods for core temperature.
