Protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferase A chain
Transglutaminase A chain
Factor XIII, FXIII, F XIII, Factor 13
Gene name : F13A1, F13A
A colorimetric microassay for quantification of Factor XIII activity
More Information
Principe The F XIII-Covtest uses biotinylated F11 peptide (Biotin-pepF11) as the first substrate (amine-acceptor/acyl-donor) and an amine-donor/acyl-acceptor as a second substrate. In the presence of activated F XIII (suspected to be contained in the samples), the γ carboxamide of the glutaminyl residue of the biotin-pepF11 is incorporated into the amine substrate to form biotinylated isopetide bound. The quantity of biotin incorporated is related to the FXIII activity and is revealed by a peroxidase colorimetric reaction.
