Our team of cold engineers realizes our technologies according to the results of scien- tific studies on cryotherapy and with the help of our scientific committee composed of a physiotherapist masseur.
The skin contains a multitude of sensory receptors that al- low an individual’s body to be informed about the state of its environment and to react accordingly. It all starts during a cryotherapy session: the cold causes a thermal shock and a sudden drop in skin temperature. Each sensory receptor then produces a nervous influx which will be conveyed to the hypothalamus via the sensory nerves.
Once the nerve impulse has been analyzed, the hypothal- amus will activate its endocrine functions, leading to the regulation of the pituitary gland. Closely linked to the hypo- thalamus, this gland also synthesizes hormones including endorphins, real molecules of well-being.
