Van wheelchair accessible vehicle

Initially an 8+1 seated MPV, following the installation of fully tested individual M1 seats and of the Smartfloor and Protector® systems, we have now a vehicle that allows several combinations, from both number and position perspective, between the wheelchairs ant the M1 seats which we want to use. The only original chairs not affected by the transformation are the ones from the front row. Various security requirements were followed while conceiving this solution, including Council Directive 76/115/EEC, ISO 10542 international standard and German standard DIN 75078. The main highlight of this combination of fixation systems is, of course, the high level of safety for the passengers, but another important feature is the easiness in mounting/fixing/dismantling the individual seats as well as loading/fixing/unloading the wheelchairs. The wheelchair access is done through the rear doors, thanks a to a fully automatic Dhollandia linear passenger lift. Its lifting capacity of 350 kg allows to simultaneously loading one more person beside the one in the wheelchair. Chassis The solution was installed on an 8+1 seated CITROEN Jumper, but other Multi Passenger Vehicles, such as FIAT Ducato, FORD Transit, FORD Transit Custom, MERCEDES-BENZ Sprinter, MERCEDES-BENZ Vito, NISSAN Interstar, NISSAN Primastar, OPEL Movano, OPEL Vivaro, PEUGEOT Boxer, RENAULT Master, RENAULT Trafic, VOLKSWAGEN Crafter or VOLKSWAGEN T5/T6 are also suitable for such transformation.
