DUO WAVE SHOCKWAVE THERAPY:
A NEW THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
A shockwave is defined as an acoustic wave characterised by a high pressure peak adjustable within a
small frequency range.
The pressure exerted by the shockwave is much higher than the traditional ultrasonic wave, even if it
has a less pronounced frequency modulation.
The shockwave spreads, like ultrasound, through human tissues following the principle of acoustic
impedance, i.e. the different ability of each tissue to reflect the acoustic wave.
Shockwaves are impulses that propagate like pressure waves, generating mechanical stress on the tissues
they pass through.
They were introduced in the medical field with extracorporeal lithotripsy, for the non-invasive treatment
of kidney stones.
WHY CHOOSE DUO WAVE?
Today, Duo Wave master is the newest and most advanced instrument for generating therapeutic shockwaves, administered according to internationally accepted standards and prerogatives.
The unique feature of the duo wave master device is that it emits two different shockwaves using a single handpiece with digital controls and two specific applicators:
-“LARGE FOCUS” - type FOCUSED
protected by patented procedure
-“CONTROLLED UNFOCUSED" - type RADIAL
a true innovation in the field of radial shockwaves.
