Description

DentLed PHW Dental Laboratory Lamp (full-spectrum)The DentLed PHW is designed for dental laboratory work by dental technicians. Its bidirectional (direct indirect) light is intended to give even illumination over workbenches and reduce shadows and glare.

Why full-spectrum and high color rendering matters in a dental labAccurate visual color assessment depends strongly on the spectral properties of the light source. The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a standardized metric for how faithfully a light source renders object colors versus a reference illuminant.

Key features (dental laboratory lighting)
  • Full-spectrum, high CRI: specified as CRI 97 (supports faithful color appearance for shade-related work).
  • Low glare: specified as UGR < 16 (UGR is a standard method for assessing discomfort glare).
  • Flicker-free: specified as flicker free; flicker and low-frequency modulation are addressed in IEEE recommended practices due to potential viewer risks and discomfort.
  • Efficient optics: specified with PMMA DOP optics for light distribution efficiency.
  • Bidirectional distribution: intended to keep the workstation evenly lit and reduce harsh contrast.
