Description

Overview
OTOWIN is a handheld device for pure-tone audiometry (air and bone conduction) designed for screening and audiometric monitoring. Delivered with a carrying bag and necessary accessories. Passive attenuation DD65 headset enables reliable testing even outside an audiometry booth. The device integrates hearing indices (Sigycop, IPA, IML, ISP) and is compatible with several patient management software packages. Suitable for occupational health services.

Pure-tone audiometry
Pure-tone audiometry provides a basic assessment of hearing thresholds by issuing calibrated frequency sound waves and lowering intensity until the subject perceives them. Sounds are presented by a headset to each ear, with masking when required.
  • User tips:
    • Ensure the ear canal is not obstructed.
    • Check the condition of the eardrum.
    • For quality results, position the patient comfortably in a quiet environment free from surrounding noise.
  • Measure specifications:
    • Air conduction: 125 to 8,000 Hz / -10 to 110 dB HL
    • Bone conduction: 250 to 8,000 Hz / -10 to 70 dB HL
    • Dual channel
    • Contralateral masking (filtered white noise)

Targeted pathologies and types of deafness
Used to identify conductive (transmission) hearing loss, sensorineural (perceptive) hearing loss and mixed hearing loss. Classification by severity: mild (20–40 dB), moderate (40–70 dB), severe (70–90 dB), profound (up to 90 dB), total (no measurable hearing).

Method
Determines hearing thresholds for each ear across a frequency range. Bone conduction evaluates inner ear and auditory nerve; air conduction tests the entire auditory pathway. Enables interpretation of audiograms, determination of degree and type of hearing loss, measurement of uncomfortable loudness level, and identification of tinnitus frequencies. Device supports extended testing up to 12 kHz where applicable.

Stand-alone
Perform tests directly on the device. Ultra-light, ergonomically handheld with a color resistive touch screen (usable with finger, gloves, or stylus). Display test results and analyze them directly on the device without paper.

Computer-based
Connect the device to PC or Mac via the supplied USB cable. Control the device from the computer using the free OTOWIN software, consult the database, create patient files, export and print data.
