Description

Overview
The EXHALYZER Plus integrates lung clearance index (LCI) multiple-breath washout testing and conventional spirometry in a single device. It provides a higher degree of routine procedure automation, automatic gas calibration and verification via the SmartBypass system for reproducible measurements without hardware adjustments. The adjustable ergonomic arm facilitates patient and operator positioning. Built-in quality control and aerodynamically optimized flow modules support precise flow measurement.

Comprehensive PFT software
SPIROWARE software supports the full testing workflow from patient registration and test acquisition to analysis and report generation within a single platform. Clear step-by-step guidance assists operators during setup and testing. Data security features include encryption, user access control and detailed audit logs. Test procedures and display options can be customized; results are available as numerical and graphical outputs with trend curves for longitudinal monitoring.

Compliance and validation
The EXHALYZER Plus complies with pulmonary function testing standards and has been validated in scientific publications. It is implemented in accordance with current ATS/ERS recommendations for pulmonary function testing. EXHALYZER and SPIROWARE are registered trademarks of ECO MEDICS.

Applications
  • Nitrogen Multiple Breath Washout (LCI testing) — assessment of ventilation inhomogeneity and early lung damage
  • Nitrogen Single Breath Washout (Slope 3 analysis, SnIII) — assessment of small airway disease and ventilation inhomogeneity
  • Spirometry (FVC, FEV1) — assessment of general lung function

Your Advantage
  • Integrated system for pulmonary function testing suitable for subjects over 4 years of age
  • Non-invasive assessment of lung health
  • MDR approved for clinical use (Medical Device Regulation (EU) 2017/745)
  • Compliance with ATS/ERS recommendations for pulmonary function testing
