EOSapps is a suite of 3D surgical planning software modules (hipEOS and spineEOS) that use weight-bearing EOS and EOSedge images together with patient-specific 3D models and datasets. The solution supports pre-operative planning for spine and total joint replacement surgeries by enabling accurate implant selection, positioning and simulation at a 1:1 scale.

Introducing EOSapps

• hipEOS: Web-based 3D planning tool for primary total hip arthroplasty. Uses standing and sitting EOS images, 3D models and measurements to identify abnormal spino-pelvic relationships and simulate implant position and range of motion.
• spineEOS: 3D planning software for pediatric and adult spine cases. Provides full-body sagittal balance assessment, axial plane measurements including vertebral rotation, and simulation of procedures such as osteotomies, interbody cage selection/positioning and spinal rod planning.

Regulatory and device information
The EOS solution includes EOSedge and the sterEOS workstation. EOSapps refers to hipEOS and spineEOS. Outsourced 3D modeling is performed using the FDA-cleared sterEOS workstation and does not provide diagnostic or treatment recommendations. The sterEOS workstation is intended for musculoskeletal radiology and orthopedics as a device for acquisition, transfer, display, storage and digital processing of 2D X-rays, and—when used with EOS imaging data—provides interactive 3D measurement tools. Caution: US Federal law restricts these devices to sale by or on the order of a physician.
