Application
The movable swimming pool floor is designed for patient-centered aquatic rehabilitation and hydrotherapy. It allows precise adjustment of water depth to meet individual patient needs, facilitating pain relief, improving joint mobility and enabling exercises that are difficult on land.

Product overview
The system enables therapists to set the optimal immersion depth for each treatment. Water buoyancy reduces joint loading and supports functional movement, while the water-based resistance and adjustable depth facilitate muscle strengthening, endurance, balance and coordination therapies. The construction is modular and suitable for clinical hydrotherapy environments.

Available integrations include underwater treadmill (can be integrated into the movable floor for static walking), underwater bicycle, obstacle courses, integrated staircases and other therapy accessories. Integration reduces therapist movement and improves observation and correction during sessions.

Types & compatibility

• Suspended movable floor: up to ~45 m2. Floor suspended by cables anchored to pool walls and raised by a water-hydraulic cylinder integrated into the floor frame; compatible with existing pool constructions.
• Floating movable floor: from ~45 m2 (suitable range ~40 m2 – 140 m2). Uses floating bodies and a water-hydraulic cable adjustment system; compatible with many existing pool situations.

Hygiene & safety
The system is engineered to meet strict water hygiene standards. EWAC Medical’s movable floor is reported to comply with EN 15288:2008 (Annex A dye test), demonstrating the floor does not negatively affect pool hygiene. The water-hydraulic drive prevents contamination by toxic hydraulic fluids.
