Description

The ERG-Thread is a corneal electrode used to record the electroretinogram (ERG), produced by light stimulation of the retina, suitable for human or animal application.* The sensor consists of a thin silver-Nylon thread, which is placed on the cornea to capture the signals from the retina. The electrical signals recorded by the electrode are transmitted through a cable connected to the silver thread, itself connected to a signal processing system. The ERG-Thread is used to support diagnostic systems for anomalies of the eye by transmitting the retinal electrical signal. It is indicated in various clinical situations such as the assessment of retinal functions and neurological disorders. It can be used for assessment of either ffERG, mfERG or PERG. * Animal use is out of the scope of the medical device according to MDD 93/42 and MDR 2017/745 SPECIFICATION Pads diameter: 12 mm (temporal), 10mm (nasal) Thread length: 65 mm Wire lenght: 1000 mm Female connection: DIN 1.50 mm PACKAGING The ERG-Thread electrode is sold in pairs in sterile, single-use pouches. Boxes: 10 pairs / 20 units.
