Description

The Dia-Pump compressor and aspirator, model 089/CAL, is designed for use in clinics, laboratories and industrial procedures. The diaphragm is made out of a special rubber with reinforced interlining to ensure high durability and eliminate friction surfaces. It is oil-free and does not need lubricants, which prevents the possibility of administering oil-contaminated air to patients. Adjustable pressure through a needle-type control valve, to facilitate handling. The device is equipped with a manometer for monitoring and adjusting pressure. The manometer is large and easy-to-read, up to 76cm of mercury (30 inHg). The iron housing of the motor is painted with enamel and the chassis is made out of steel plate with an electrostatic powder coating. Collection bottle made out of autoclavable plastic with a nominal capacity of 2,500 ml, equipped with an automatic self-closing cap and stainless steel immersion tube. Enables coupling up to two collection bottles. Safety devices to prevent aspirated material from penetrating the pump, in case the bottle were to overflow. The connections are made out of a plastic material; the tips can also be plastic or even an autoclavable metal. Other electrical or electronic elements complete the device. The entire compression chamber system is built out of aluminum, with the same paint finish as the motor. All the models contain a microfilter for retaining bacteria and particles larger than 0.5 microns from the air, then released to the environment.
