Safely immobilise a casualty in the water, then support recovery at
the poolside
Rescuing a casualty from a swimming pool carries its own distinct risks and
challenges – especially when spinal injury is suspected. Rescue equipment
needs to be light, buoyant and easily manoeuvrable – and it’s vitally
important to prevent slipping once the equipment is in place.
Aquaboard Spinal System is Ferno’s uniquely innovative solution to
these issues. Its special design features enable it to float up and under
the casualty, so they’re safely immobilised whilst still in the water, and
supported once they’re back on the poolside and in transit to hospital.
Developed in conjunction with the RLSS UK, Aquaboard forms a complete
system in itself for swimming pool and leisure centre rescue. It’s a simple,
highly effective means to minimise the risk of further injury.
