Super-high magnification dermoscopy and nailfold videocapillaroscopy with FotoFinder medicam 1000S and D-Scope III.
Nailfold videocapillaroscopy is a safe and noninvasive method for examining the microcirculation and for analyzing microvascular abnormalities.
Finding abnormal patterns in the nailfold capillary bed allows early diagnosis of autoimmune rheumatic diseases, connective tissue disorders or systemic autoimmune diseases such as Systemic Sclerosis (SSc). Furthermore, capillaroscopy is a fundamental element for differential diagnosis between primary and secondary Raynaud’s phenomenon.
Thanks to the FotoFinder special lens for optical super-high magnification, pigmented lesions can be observed at up to 400 times magnification. Spectacular color images of cell structures and pattern are the perfect complement to classic dermoscopy, optical coherence tomography (OCT) and confocal laser scanning microscopy.
FotoFinder D-Scope III is a special lens for super-high optical magnification that is used together with the video camera medicam 1000S. It can be attached to the video camera the same way as the D-Scope II plus or D-Scope IV dermoscopy lenses. The closed tube assures consistent illumination of the viewing field. The light mode is non-polarized and requires the use of immersion liquid such as skin antiseptic, alcohol gel or oil.
D-Scope III allows you to capture brilliant microscopic images e.g. of pigmented lesions, micro vessels or front line nailfold capillary loops. You can achieve up to 400X optical mag-nification.
