【Intended use】 This kit detects HIV-1 virus DNA which is integrated into human genome of white cells from blood samples. The kit can be used for diagnosis and assisted diagnosis of HIV-1 infection at all ages and screening of high-risk groups. It can also be used for monitoring of effect of antiretroviral therapy (ART, HAART) and HIV-1 viral reservoirs after antiretroviral therapy. 【Detection principle】 This kit uses pyrophosphorolysis activated polymerization (PAP）technology to specifically amplify highly conservative region within HIV-1 virus DNA genome. The amplified product is measured in real time fluorescence format. 【Samples】 Blood and dried blood spot samples. 【Advantages】 1. High sensitivity: ability to detect a single copy of HIV- 1DNA molecule. 2. High specificity: virtually no false positive amplifications even in the presence of heavy background of human genome DNA. 3. Freeze-dried format: much earlier and user-friendly manipulation.
