The Dengue IgG/IgM Combo Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunoassay for the simultaneous detection and differentiation of IgG and IgM anti-dengue virus (DEN 1, DEN2, DEN3, and DEN4) in human serum, plasma or whole blood. It is intended to be used as a screening test and as an aid in the diagnosis of infection with dengue viruses. Any reactive specimen with the Dengue IgG/IgM Combo Rapid Test must be confirmed with alternative testing method(s) and clinical findings. Dengue fever (DF) is one of the most prevalent mosquito-borne viral diseases in the world - endemic in more than 100 countries, with more than one-third of the world's population at risk for transmission. Because there are no completely effective vaccines available to prevent infection with dengue virus, early recognition and prompt supportive treatment can significantly reduce the risk of complications and death.
